I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge and commend your work to restore values to Kansas communities through the passage and enforcement of ordinances that limit the scope and proliferation of sexually oriented businesses.

Your tireless efforts have put a much needed spotlight on an industry that has gone unregulated and unchallenged for far too long.  As you well know, the presence of sexually oriented businesses in a city directly assaults family values and cohesion, adversely affects neighboring businesses and property values, and places the most vulnerable in the community at greater risk.

On behalf of the businesses, families and individuals whose lives will not be negatively impacted through the spread of sexually oriented businesses, I want to thank you.  Through your efforts, you have shown others that a determined david can still defeat the goliaths of the land, wherever they may be.

Dear National Coalition,

Three years ago Jerry Kirk came to our church and spoke about the problem of pornography. My husband, Bill*, and I were present for the event. Little did I know, Bill was addicted to Internet pornography. Through Jerry Kirk’s message, the conviction of the Holy Spirit and Bill’s great courage, my husband confessed his addiction to me that evening. We had been married only three months and I was devastated. However, this was the catalyst that made our marriage as strong as it is today.

As he confessed his addiction to me, we called your HelpLine and we were able to speak with a telephone counselor. Through the counselor’s incredible support and guidance, we got involved with a Christian counseling center in Dallas and Bill was able to overcome his desire to look at pornography online.

He has been “clean and sober” now for three years and we recently gave birth to a beautiful little girl. I do not think we could have made it this far without you and your ministry.

Thank you for your amazing dedication to the Lord the incredible work you do and for changing our lives for the better!
